Possibly by Tehran's Serafian workshop
From the 1970s
Restoration by Kenneth Jay Linsner
The carpet was one of several involved in a vicious fire. The grey deposits on the surface are fly ash. Fortunately, the carpet was not heat affected, but it was covered with the ash and then heavily wet by firemen's hoses. It was initially deemed a total loss. Mr. Linsner was able, through a combination of detergents and lanolin replenishments, to bring it back to its former state.
