Mr. Linsner discovered this large gilt bronze seated figure of Zhenwu in the India House Club's seldom examined collection of Sino-Tibetan bronzes. The bronze was sent to auction, fetching $2,210,500 against a pre-sale estimate of $250,000 to $350,000 and providing the Club with much needed cash.
