Late Qing Dynasty

(around 1900)

Restoration by Kenneth Jay Linsner

The Chinese cloisonne was owned by a collector of Chinese enamels and jades. As with most collectors, the owner often picked them up to admire or move them around his house. In this case, the owner dropped the item, breaking off one handle and severely denting the piece. Mr. Linsner was able to reattach the broken elements and straighten the dents and body.
