Elchanon Verveer (1829-1900)

This oil on canvas by the Dutch artist Verveer is shown half-cleaned. Mr.Linsner was the first expert to clean the painting, which was covered with a layer of oxidized varnish and nicotine from a gentleman's smoking room.
